Learning how to draw Pokemon is very simple and works off of basic geometric shapes. Pokemon hit the television airwaves in the 90s and with the interesting characters that were developed, many people began to want to learn how to draw Pokemon.

Keep it Simple for Poliwag!

Poliwag is one of the simplest Pokemon characters to draw. Begin with a large, egg-like shape that will be the basis of his body. You want this circle to be large enough that will allow you to add in all of the detail without a problem.

Draw another circle slightly to the bottom of the circle. This will allow you enough space to draw the face. These two circles should be similar to an egg with a yolk in the middle. Now you will want to add eyes and nose at the top of the second circle. The eyes should be half ovals that drop down for the top of the large circle. Now you can simply add a tail, feet and the spiral on the body. Add lips to the little nose circle and you have a Poliwag to color how you wish.

Popular Pikachu!

Pikachu is one of the most popular Pokemon characters and to learn how to draw Pokemon Pikachu is very simple. It takes less than ten steps to draw this character. Begin by drawing a basic outline for the head. Make one arched line for the top of the head and then two disjointed lines for the side of the head. The ears will be drawn where you have left spaces. Next, draw two long lines down from the two side headlines. Arch these lines out slightly to form the body.

Give Pikachu Feet!

Add the feet to Pikachu by making simple jagged toes and then connect the feet with a curved line that arches upwards slightly. Next, draw two long and pointed ears with a small line near the points of the ears. Draw two simple cartoon eyes with pupils, a small upside down triangle nose and a mouth. Add two arms to the front of the body with several pointed fingers. Finally draw a zig-zagged tail with a small zig-zag near the base of the tail, and add in the two semi-circles on his cheeks.

As you can see, learning how to draw Pokemon is very simple and the characters are very basic.

supplies needed

Two Paper Grocery Bag
Newspaper
White Flour
Yellow Tissue Paper
Black, White & Red Construction Paper
String
White Glue
Stapler
Candy
Wax paper
Scissors

The How to

Pour candy and other treats into an empty grocery bag. Crumble up newspaper and continue to fill bag to about 3/4 full. Close top and roll down a couple of inches stapling closed. Open up the second paper bag. Cut it in half and roll each half into a cone. Tape. Flatten cones and trim both ends to get the right shape and size. Staple to the paper bag. Poke a whole for the sting at the top of the bag.

Make a paper maché mixture by mixing the flour and water together to get the consistency of wallpaper paste(make sure its fairly thick). Tear 1″ strips of newspaper and dip them into the paste. Get off excess paste by running the piece between your fingers and begin by covering the bottom of the paper bag. Set it on wax paper and cover the rest of the bag. Don’t be too concerned about lumps and bumps because the tissue paper will hide most of them. Use paper maché to reinforce where the ears meet the bag. You don’t need to do the whole ear. It will weigh them down too much. Let dry overnight.

Cut sheets of tissue paper in half. Fold each piece in half, then in half again until you have strips about 2 or 3″ tall. Fringe strips by cutting every 1/2″ with scissors. Glue tissue paper strips around the paper bag beginning at the bottom and working up to the top, overlapping each strip. Wrap around the ears from the center out.

look at the p[icture and cut out the pieces needed for the face. Cut the tips for the ears out of black construction paper. Glue all the pieces into place

Fold your cord in half to find the center. pretty much just follow the beading pattern on the left and finish with a double knot. have fun making pikachu and make sure you catch all the pokemon keychains and the pokemon pony bead ball from the other posts

• 2 Yards Rat-tail Satin Cord
• Fabric Glue or Tacky Glue or Low Temp Glue Gun with glue sticks

Pattern should measure 4¼” wide. The actual size yours will print depends upon your browser. To resize, right click on the image and save it to your hard drive. Open in a paint program and size to 4¼” wide

Print pattern for pouch back and pouch front. Cut foam pieces using pattern as a guide. Punch holes where marked. (If using 1/4″ punch, you may want to space the pieces further apart.)

Line up the bottoms of the front and back. Lace front and back together using rat-tail satin cord. Lace up around back piece for decoration. Tie off cord. Secure with a drop of tacky glue. Let dry. Cut close to knot.

Glue on face. Stick on Velcro using dotted line on pattern as a guide. Add the clip.

so no beads envolved here, just a fun little project for any Pokemon lover in the family. Print the pokemon jigglypuff pattern on card stock or heavy paper or use them for patterns for cutting craft foam.materials needed

• 3/4″ (or bigger) Key Ring
• pokemon Trading card or trading card of choice
  
• Some Yarn
• Pony Beads in card color
  
• Tacky Glue or Low Temp Glue Gun
• Jewelry Craft Pin

How you do it

Place key ring over the part of card you would like to show through. Trace around the key ring and cut out. Cut a piece of yarn about 6′ long. Tuck one end inside the split ring to hold it in place. Wrap the yarn securely around the ring, covering the entire surface. Trim yarn, put a dab of glue on the end to secure it.

Cut three pieces of yarn about 6″ long. Fold each piece in half and half hitch wrapped ring by placing the folded end down through the ring and drawing the cord ends down through the folded end loop. Diagram at right shows how one half hitch would look on a metal ring. Sting on beads and tie off or use another piece of yarn to tie all the pieces together. Trim.

so what ya need is some beads in brown, black, beige and white, then follow this pattern to put your monkey keychhain toether.

So fold thecord in half to find the center. Use a half hitch (see detail below) to secure it to lanyard hook. Lace beads using pattern at right as a guide. Finish your monkey bead project by tying it off with a double knots.
